Kate uses her talents to perform as well as teach worldwide. She has reached out and delivered enriching musical experiences and lessons to hundreds of students in Argentina, China, and Costa Rica. See below for more details.

In 2009, Kate traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina to be a featured soloist with the Argentina Ministry of Education’s Documentary of the 10th Anniversary of the Lugano String Project. The Lugano String Project was founded as an after school string project in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, and reaches several hundred children each week with private lessons and string orchestra. Here, Kate performs with the young members of the Lugano Chamber Orchestra.

In September 2012, Kate traveled to Wuhan, China as invited soloist with the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra, James Liu, Music Director. In addition to her performances with the WPO, she donated her time presenting viola master classes to the viola class from the Wuhan Conservatory of Music.

Kate Hamilton founded the first Viola Competition held at the University of Costa Rica and had a distinguished panel of judges that included artist faculty from the University of Costa Rica and two members of the UNESCO Artists for Peace roster: Milton Masciadri (Double Bass) and Ino Mirkovic (Violin).

As Artist in Residence, she gave masterclasses and performed as a soloist with the University of Costa Rica Chamber Symphony under the direction of Luis Diego Herra.
